The City of Santa Ana invites the community to celebrate the fall season at the first ever Autumn Fest Open House taking place at the Albert D. Salgado Recreation Center (706 N. Newhope St.) on Saturday, October 4, from 5 to 8 p.m.
Guests will enjoy an evening filled with live music and performances, themed arts and crafts, a mooncake and lantern giveaway (for the first 200 registered kids), community resources, and more. The event also offers a chance to explore the recreation center, meet staff, and learn about the wide range of recreation programs and leisure classes available at the Albert D. Salgado Recreation Center. This year's open house will be hosted in collaboration with the Asian American Senior Citizens Service Center (AASCSC), a local non-profit organization "serving all age groups and members of the community through a inter-generational approach to building a stronger, healthier community through direct services, advocacy, and capacity building."
The theme for the inagural Autumn Fest Open House will focus on Mid-Autumn, a festive day in Vietnamese and Asian cultures celebrating family unity, gratitude, and the harvest moon where communities come together and share mooncakes, lanterns, food, and cultural performances that honor heritage and blessing of nature. We invite the community to attend and enjoy the multi-cultural festivities.
This free, family-friendly event is open to all ages.
