Drainage Work on Route 190 in Stafford Springs at Rockwell Road

The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that drainage work will be performed on Route 190 at Rockwell Road in Stafford Springs. This project is scheduled to begin by FSM Services on Friday, October 16 and be completed on Monday, October 19, 2026. The DOT01710531CN consists of replacing failed pipes.
This project is included in CTDOT's 2027 Vendor Resurfacing Program.
LANE CLOSURE/DETOUR INFO
There will be a continuous weekend road closure of route 190 at Rockwell Road in Stafford Springs from 7:00 p.m. on Friday, October 16 until Sunday, October 18, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. when the road will reopen.
The work will be completed on Monday, October 19, 2026. Motorist will follow the posted detour or seek alternate routes. They should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this area.
