Krishnamoorthi: Washington Republicans Refuse to Negotiate, Forcing Shutdown and Higher Health Care Costs

"President Trump and Washington Republicans-who control the White House and both chambers of Congress-have forced a government shutdown. They refused to come to the table for the good of our country and instead dug in to allow critical Affordable Care Act tax credits to expire, saddling millions of households with skyrocketing premiums. Instead of working together, President Trump and Congressional Republicans have chosen chaos and political theater at the expense of the people we serve. I will keep fighting to end the shutdown and protect affordable health care for every family."
