    Police responded to the 300th block of Rindge Ave for a theft. A resident stated that they had ordered a sofa for $1200 and had it delivered to a common area. When they went to move it, the sofa was gone.

    Mark Newell, 61, of Cambridge was placed under arrest on a charge of drinking in public. Officers witnessed Newell drinking an alcoholic beverage from a bottle concealed in a brown paper bag.
