On May 4, 2025, Director-General of the Department of Asian Affairs of the Foreign Ministry Liu Jinsong lodged solemn representations with Chief Minister of the Embassy of Japan in China Yokochi Akira regarding Japanese right-wing extremists piloting a civilian aircraft intruding into the airspace of China's Diaoyu Dao, and urged the Japanese side to immediately stop illegal infringement activities and to take concrete measures to prevent the recurrence of similar incidents. China will resolutely safeguard its national territorial sovereignty and maritime rights and interests.
