Minister of Foreign Affairs has a phone conversation with Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of Viet Nam

On 3 October 2025, H.E. Mr. Sihasak Phuangketkeow, Minister of Foreign Affairs, made an introductory phone call to H.E. Mr. Le Hoai Trung, Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of Viet Nam.

The Foreign Minister expressed his appreciation for the congratulatory message from Acting Foreign Minister of Viet Nam on his assumption of duty and also congratulated his Vietnamese counterpart upon assuming his position. Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to enhancing the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between Thailand and Viet Nam, especially in promoting complementarities of economic development and celebrating the 50th Anniversary of Thailand - Viet Nam diplomatic relations in 2026. They also agreed to increase cooperation to promote development in the Mekong Subregion and strengthen ASEAN.

The Foreign Minister also stated the Thai Government's policy to resolve the situation between Thailand and Cambodia peacefully through the full utilization of existing bilateral mechanisms.
