AEM Joins Members, Industry Peers in Italy for Agrievolution Statistics Program Fall Meetings

AEM joined 15 international companies and their representatives last week in Ravenna, Italy, for the Agrievolution Statistics Program (ASP) fall meetings.

Comprised of 15 international companies, ASP reports global shipments in five data exchange programs: balers, combines, combine headers, forage harvesters, and agriculture tractors. ASP task groups came together at the meetings prior to a full day of discussions with 26 attendees made up of folks from member companies, the data processing company Systematics, AEM, as well as AEM Secretariat staff.

Highlights from the meetings include:

  • Final approval of the Baler Harmonization (new reporting metrics and uniform size classification) for all baler types. This was recently approved by the AEM Agricultural Equipment Statistics Committee (AESC)
  • Approval of changes to the policy Manual by Joint Committee member companies
  • New member (LiuGong) approved for joining the ASP Tractor Exchange in 2024
  • Approval of definition change for low-profile ag tractor
  • Announcement of a three-year recruitment plan for the ASP.

Host company Kverneland also provided a tour of its factory that manufacturers balers and choppers for ASP meeting attendees.
