Argyle Boarding Facility owners charged in dog deaths

INDIVIDUALS INVOLVED:

1. Robert Palulis Age: 48 Address: Argyle, New York

2. Anastasia A. Palulis Age: 38 Address: Argyle, New York

INCIDENT SUMMARY: According to Sheriff Jeffrey J. Murphy, on Sunday August 24, 2025, the Washington County Sheriff's Office were called to Anastasia's Acres Dog Boarding in the Town of Argyle, Washington County, for a report of deceased dogs at the facility.

As a result of the investigation the Sheriff's Office has charged the owners of Anastasia's Acres Dog Boarding, Robert Palulis (48) and Anastasia Palulis (38) with twenty-two (22) counts of section 353 of the New York State Agriculture and Markets Law,( Overdriving, Torturing, and Injuring Animals; Failure to Provide Proper Sustenance), class A Misdemeanors.

As a result of the investigation, it was determined that the owners of the facility failed to provide adequate water and ventilation for the animals, resulting in twenty-one (21) dogs perishing and one (1) in need of medical care.

Both Robert Palulis and Anastasia Palulis were released on Appearance Tickets to Appear in the Argyle Town Court at a later date.
