BATON ROUGE MAN SENTENCED TO 74 MONTHS IN FEDERAL PRISON FOR DISTRIBUTING FENTANYL AND METHAMPHETAMINE

AC Dantzler, age 45, of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, was sentenced to 74 months in federal prison following his conviction for distribution of fentanyl and methamphetamine. U.S. District Court Judge Brian A. Jackson further sentenced Dantzler to serve four years of supervised release following his term of imprisonment.

According to admissions made during his plea, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF) received information from a confidential informant (CI) that Dantzler told the CI that he could supply the CI with fentanyl.

Subsequently, ATF was able to conduct a controlled purchase of one ounce of fentanyl from Dantzler for $1,300.

ATF once again used the CI to negotiate another controlled purchase of fentanyl from Dantzler and during this exchange, Dantzler also provided the CI with what he stated was methamphetamine for the CI to test to see if he wanted to purchase methamphetamine from Dantzler in the future.

U.S. Attorney Kurt L. Wall praised the work of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives. Assistant U.S. Attorney Paul L. Pugliese led the prosecution.
