The Uptown Marion Market returns on Saturday, Sept. 27 with a fall flair, bringing over 50 vendors offering fresh produce, wine, honey, baked goods, artisan items and more. Enjoy a full line-up of family fun including live music from Matt Gogel while exploring the vibrant mix of local flavors and handmade finds.
As part of the market festivities, the Dog Fashion Show, sponsored by Apple Creek Canine Resort, will take the stage at 10 a.m. in the Central Plaza at City Square Park. From dapper bow ties to whimsical tutus, pups and their owners will strut their stuff in a celebration of canine couture that has become a community favorite. Event information and participation registration can be found at cityofmarion.org/fallintomarion.
New this year, the event will also feature a donation drive for A Purposeful Life Animal Rescue & Sanctuary, a volunteer-based nonprofit dedicated to rescuing aged and vulnerable pets. Community members are encouraged to bring items from the requested donation list.
"With the market, live music and the Dog Fashion Show, this event is already a community favorite," said Lacey Schroeder, Uptown Marion Main Street Director. "What makes it even more special this year is adding a meaningful cause. Supporting A Purposeful Life allows us to celebrate our pets while also making a real difference for animals in need".
