Reporting Your Environmental Footprint: GFLI Webinar on Feed Data Standards

On22 October 2025, the Global Feed LCA Institute (GFLI) is hosting a webinar to support stakeholders across the feed and livestock value chain in reporting their environmental footprint in line with international standards.

GFLI manages the global database for Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) of feed ingredients, offering science-based and harmonised data for environmental footprinting. Its secondary database, based on sector-level averages, has long been the foundation for sustainability assessments. In 2022, GFLI piloted the inclusion of branded data, which allows companies to submit primary, product-specific information. Since 2024, submissions of branded data have been officially open, marking a new phase of greater accuracy and transparency in sustainability reporting.

Making use of branded data provides a powerful opportunity to comply with major sustainability reporting frameworks such as CSRD, SBTi and PEFCR. It also allows businesses to gain deeper insight into their supply chains and to identify targeted opportunities for reducing the environmental footprint of products and facilities.

The upcoming webinar will give participants an overview of what branded data is, why it matters, and how it can be applied in practice. Speakers will highlight how to ensure data quality for reliable and representative results, and a company example will be presented to illustrate the process of submitting branded data for a trace mineral. The session will close with a discussion and Q&A, offering participants the chance to engage directly with experts.
