Chinese Ambassador to Rwanda Gao Wenqi Presents Copies of the Letter of Credence

On July11, Ambassador Gao Wenqi presented copies of letter of credence to Hon. Gen. (Rtd.) James Kabarebe, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs in Charge of Regional Cooperation.

Amb. Gao said, it's his great honor to be Chinese ambassador to Rwanda. Under the strategic guidance of the two Heads of State, China-Rwanda relations have enjoyed sound and steady growth. The bilateral practical cooperation has yielded fruitful results, and both countries firmly support each other on issues of core interests. China stands ready to work with Rwanda to implement the important consensus reached by the two Heads of State and the outcomes of the Beijing Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation, and advance the comprehensive strategic partnership.

Gen. (Rtd.) James Kabarebe welcomed Amb. Gao. He said, China is Rwanda's good brother and good friend, and Rwanda-China relations are currently at their best in history. Rwanda attaches great importance to the bilateral relations, and will fully support Amb. Gao in performing his duties, advancing bilateral relations to a new level.
