PROFILE:
Mauritanian diplomat and senior official with extensive experience in bilateral and multilateral diplomacy, international relations, public governance, and strategic communication. A former ambassador, consul general, and leader of public and private institutions, he possesses recognized expertise in international cooperation, institutional management, media, and international law.
DIPLOMATIC FUNCTIONS:
July 2023: Ambassador of Mauritania to the Mauritanian Embassy (with jurisdiction over Burkina Faso);
July 2021-February 2023: Ambassador - Permanent Representative of Mauritania to UNESCO;
February 2016-July 2021: Ambassador of Mauritania to Senegal (with jurisdiction over Guinea, Cabo Verde and Guinea-Bissau);
May 2014-November 2015: First Ambassador of Mauritania to Niger (with jurisdiction over Chad, Benin and Togo);
