On September 25, the Chinese Consulate General in Mumbai held a reception at the Taj Mahal Palace Hotel to celebrate the 76th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China.
In his keynote address, Consul General Qin Jie stated that the Communist Party of China has led the nation to achieve remarkable development successes through its great self-reform. He noted that the recent meeting between Chinese and Indian leaders during the SCO Tianjin Summit has charted the course for the growth of bilateral relations. Mr. Qin expressed optimism about enhanced cooperation between the two countries, which would bring more benefits to their peoples. He also highlighted Xi Jinping Thought on poverty alleviation and the Global Governance Initiative.
Chief Protocol Officer of Maharashtra Ms. Manisha Mhaiskar delivered a speech as the representative of Maharashtra Government, affirming that the leaders' meeting in Tianjin has yielded fruitful outcomes and that China-India cooperation holds significant potential. She expressed Maharashtra's willingness to further strengthen cooperation with China.
The reception was attended by over 300 guests, including representatives from all walks of life within the consular district, members of the consular corps, the Chinese enterprises staff, and overseas Chinese. The diplomats of the Consulate General and representatives from Chinese companies performed a chorus of the song As Wished. The guests engaged in friendly conversations, fostering an warm atmosphere.
