City of Berkeley Public Health urges flu shots for everyone six months and older. Get free vaccines at pop-up clinics from Oct. 14-28 or at our Immunization Clinic.
Anyone 6 months or older can get a free flu shot at City of Berkeley Public Health flu clinics. Flu shots help protect yourself and your household from serious illness.
The seven free City pop-up clinics, running from October 14 to October 28, will help prepare you for winter, when flu cases rise. You can also make an appointment at our West Berkeley Immunization Clinic, open Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. No ID or insurance is required.
Your health care provider or a local pharmacy may also offer free or low-cost flu vaccinations.
Getting vaccinated every year helps keep you from getting very sick with the flu. It also helps stop the spread of the virus.
Vaccination is especially important to prevent serious illness for the most vulnerable. This includes children, older adults, pregnant people, and those with medical conditions.
Flu season is here. Protect yourself, your family, and those around you by getting vaccinated.
Get your free flu vaccine at one of Berkeley Public Health's upcoming pop-up clinics. Show up and get vaccinated: no appointment, ID, or insurance required.

Timely flu vaccines help prevent a disease that can cause hospitalization and even death.
Vaccination is especially important for children, pregnant people, adults over 65, and those with chronic medical conditions. These groups are at higher risk of severe illness from the flu.
"A flu vaccine reduces your risk of getting sick-and if you do get sick, it reduces the risk of hospitalization.
Vaccination doesn't just keep you safe, it helps protect others in your life. The flu can be a life-threatening illness for children, older adults, and others."
- Dr. Noemi Doohan, City of Berkeley Public Health Officer.
Symptoms of the flu include fever, cough, sore throat, runny or stuffy nose, muscle or body aches, headaches, and fatigue. If you have symptoms, stay home for at least 24 hours after your fever goes away.
