The Kaohsiung Harbor Border Affairs Corps of the Border Affairs Corps under the National Immigration Agency (NIA), Ministry of the Interior, is scheduled to hold a free medical outreach event for foreign deep-sea fishing crew members employed overseas from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on June 14, 2026. The event will take place on the 4th floor of the Donggang Fishermen's Association in Donggang Township, Pingtung County. Medical services to be provided at the event include traditional Chinese medicine and Western medicine services, including ophthalmology, dentistry, blood pressure and blood glucose testing, abdominal ultrasound examinations, electrocardiogram (ECG) testing, and general internal medicine consultations. Physician consultations and physical therapy services will also be available. In addition, volunteer hairstylists will provide free haircuts for participating foreign crew members.

This event is jointly organized by the Kaohsiung Harbor Border Affairs Corps in collaboration with the Buddhist Tzu Chi Charity Foundation Kaohsiung-Pingtung Tzu Chi International Medical Association (TIMA), Mobile Home Physical Therapy Clinic, Donggang Fishermen's Association, Fisheries Agency of the Ministry of Agriculture, and the Taiwan Tuna Longline Association, among other partner organizations. Foreign deep-sea fishing crew members employed overseas in the Donggang area are welcome to participate.
