Deepbridge Team Takes On Race Across the UK Challenge in Support of the Royal Navy and Royal Marines Charity

We're delighted to support Ian and Andrew, who are once again taking on one of the UK's most demanding charity fundraising events, as they compete in the in support of the Royal Navy and Royal Marines Charity.

Ian Warwick, (Deepbridge Founder and Managing Partner) and Andrew Aldridge, Chief Operating Officer, are returning for the second year in a row Team Sea Dust defend their winning title, gained during the inaugural event in 2025.

Inspired by the popular television series Race Across the World, the challenge will see teams travel from Dartmouth to Inverness over four days, navigating via a series of undisclosed checkpoints using only public transport, limited funds and their own initiative. Participants are not permitted to use sat-nav or mapping applications, pre-book journeys, or plan routes in advance, with destinations only revealed throughout the race.

The event is taking place between 6th and 9th of October and is in support of the Royal Navy and Royal Marines Charity (RNRMC), which provides assistance to serving personnel, veterans and their families across the UK. The cause holds particular significance for Ian Warwick, who began his career serving in the Royal Navy.

Having experienced the intensity of the challenge first-hand, Team Seadust know exactly what lies ahead.

"Last year's event tested us in ways we couldn't have anticipated, and we're expecting this year's race to be equally demanding," said Andrew Aldridge. "One of the most rewarding aspects of this challenge has been the support we've received from colleagues, advisers, professional connections and businesses from across the financial services sector."

The challenge has attracted support from across the financial services and professional adviser community, with sponsorship from organisations including Growth Invest, Perspective Financial Group, Symvan Capital and numerous professional services and corporate supporters.

For Ian Warwick, the fundraising objective remains firmly at the heart of the challenge.

"The charity provides vital support to serving personnel, veterans and their families, often during particularly challenging times. While we'd obviously like to retain our title from last year, our primary objective is to raise as much money as possible for an organisation that makes a genuine difference."

As the race gets underway, Team Seadust will set off armed with little more than a clue to their first destination, a modest travel budget and a determination to once again make it to Inverness ahead of the competition. [Fund Manag...tober 2026 | Word]
