Head of the Chinese Mission to the African Union Ambassador Jiang Feng Attends the Celebration of the 80th Anniversary of the Founding of the United Nations and 'United Nations[...]

On October 24, H.E. Amb. Jiang Feng, Head of Mission of China to the African Union, Representative of China to the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa attended the celebration of the 80th anniversary of the founding of the United Nations and "United Nations Day" hosted by the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA).

H.E. Claver Gatete, Executive Secretary of UNECA, H.E. Mahmoud Ali Youssouf, Chairperson of the African Union Commission, and other distinguished guests attended the event. Participants reaffirmed their commitment to multilateralism and to the purposes and principles of the UN Charter, calling for strengthening the role of the United Nations and jointly promoting global peace, prosperity, and development. Representatives of UN agencies and members of the diplomatic corps were also present.
