On Wednesday, President Gitanas Nausėda extended congratulations to Grand Master Fra' John T. Dunlap of the Order of Malta on national day.
The Head of State thanked the Grand Master of the Order of Malta for his visit to Lithuania in early June, stressing that this state visit enriched the ties between Lithuania and the Order of Malta and provided a significant impetus for the further development of relations and cooperation. The President noted that the Grand Master's participation in the 6th World Apostolic Congress on Mercy in Vilnius reminded the faithful and people of goodwill who came from all over the world of the shared commitment to compassion and support for those who suffer and those less fortunate.
According to Gitanas Nausėda, the humanitarian and medical assistance activities of the Order of Malta around the world, caring for the disadvantaged, the most vulnerable members of society, and especially the people of Ukraine suffering from Russian aggression, serve as an example and an inspiration for all democratic states and organizations. The Lithuanian leader thanked the Grand Master of the Order of Malta for its devoted humanitarian work in Lithuania and throughout the world.
On the national day of the Sovereign Order of Malta, the Feast of Saint John the Baptist, the President extended his congratulations and best wishes, along with those of the First Lady and the people of Lithuania, and wished the Order every success in the future as it continues to fulfill its mission.
