Alex Hardiman and Hannah Yang Elevated to Executive Vice President

Hannah Yang has a remarkable track record of achievement and impact at The Times. She joined us in 2010, distinguishing herself early on for her leadership gifts and ability to drive increasingly large teams to achieve increasingly ambitious results. In 2019 with the creation of XFfun, we asked Hannah to lead our first Growth Mission. There, she played a pivotal role in ushering in a new era for product development at The Times, establishing much of what is now our well-honed approach to objective-based cross functional work. In doing so, she substantially raised the bar for our subscription and revenue performance.

Hannah is a remarkable leader, problem solver, talent developer and operator whose high standards for performance inspire and motivate excellence within and well beyond her own teams and briefs. In 2019, we promoted her to chief growth officer. In 2020 she took on oversight for our iInternational subscription and growth efforts, and in 2024 with a promotion to chief growth and customer officer we added accountability for marketing and customer care to her portfolio.

Hannah's leadership of our subscription growth efforts and her oversight of key functions have played a crucial role in our success to date, and also in our rising ambitions. I have no doubt that will continue to be the case as she, Alex and their teams will continue to do as we keep making our product experiences increasingly rare and valuable in a changing landscape, and march toward our next milestone of 15 million subscribers and beyond."
