Overnight Closure of Westbound State Route 24 (Sr-24) Caldecott Tunnel Bore #3

Tuesday, June 9, 2026, and Wednesday, June 10, 2026, from 10:00 PM to 4:30 AM

Alameda and Contra Costa Counties - Caltrans maintenance will conduct overnight closures of Bore 3 of the Caldecott Tunnel on westbound State Route 24 (SR-24) to facilitate the relocation of the temporary transformer trailer and routine tunnel maintenance. All scheduled activities are subject to weather conditions and may be adjusted as required.

Bore #3 Closure for WB SR-24 10:00 PM - 4:30 AM

  • Wednesday, June 10, 2026

During this closure, at least one bore in each direction will remain open.

Traffic Control Measures:
Changeable message signs will be in place to assist motorists traveling in the area. Motorists are advised to expect delays, prepare to merge and allow for extra travel time. Please drive with caution through the construction zone. Slow for the Cone Zone.
