Get to Know the First-Time Exhibitors at ReMA2026 – ACEDES

From April 13 to 16, ReMA2026 - The Show is taking over Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino and bringing together industry professionals in the recycling community to sharpen their skills, gain knowledge, build relationships, grow their businesses, and celebrate each other.

This year there's a sold-out show floor featuring plenty of new and returning exhibitors ready to showcase or demonstrate the latest recycling equipment, technological advancements, and more.

What attracts new exhibitors to attend ReMA's convention? ReMA News spoke with new exhibitor John McGrath, Business Development Manager at ACEDES about what the company is looking forward to showcasing at ReMA2026 and why the company decided to attend their first ReMA convention.

Tell me a little about ACEDES.

ACEDES was set up to serve the emerging waste services industry where fires are occurring more often due to the rise of lithium-ion batteries. The company was created through a strategic partnership between two German engineering companies each recognized as market leaders in their respective fields: Orglmeister, which provides intelligent infrared detection technology, and FireDos, which supplies precision fire suppression technology.

ACEDES stands for Autonomous Coupled Early Detection and Extinguishing System. ACEDES is fully owned by FireDos GmbH and exclusively integrates technology from both partner companies to deliver a complete autonomous fire prevention solution.

How did you hear about ReMA and how did you decide to exhibit at ReMA2026?

We exhibited at WasteExpo 2025 in Las Vegas last year and it was a great show and generated a lot of interest. We were looking for another show with the same scale and reach. After a little research I came across ReMA and its annual convention. The ReMA convention looked like an ideal show for us and our market. All our clients have confirmed that they attend this event, and our competitors will be there, which is a great indication that it's relevant for our market.

What are you looking forward to at ReMA2026?

Making new connections is our primary goal and I'm looking forward to doing exactly that as well as meeting up with our existing client base and getting a chance to show them our latest technology offerings. A key part of any trade show is keeping up to date with the industry and latest technology and at ReMA2026 we can learn about what other companies are doing and how their work might compliment what we provide, it's a great opportunity for synergy. In my mind nothing can replace a good show and ReMA2026 seems like it will be exactly that.

What are you looking forward to showcasing to attendees at ReMA2026?

I'm excited to show attendees the autonomous detection systems thatthat detects and neutralizes hotspots before a fire can even start - completely without human involvement.. We automatically scan an area whether that's in a recycling center, paper processing plant, or aluminum mill, and the system will autonomously detect hot spots. We target our water cannon on and around the hot spot to cool/]ex. It all happens without human intervention, though us humans can take over and get involved if we feel that it's the right decision to do so. Our system is fully installed in the client's location, so they don't need an external internet connection. IT security is a huge concern for a lot of our clients and it's something that we make sure to provide.

Our mission at ACEDES is to protect industrial facilities, safeguard the people who work in them, and minimize environmental impact through intelligent, autonomous fire prevention technology. We believe the ideal fire is the one that never starts. By detecting and neutralizing thermal threats before ignition occurs, we protect what matters most-your people, your operations, and the environment.
