News/Media Alliance Statement on Anthropic Settlement in Copyright Infringement Suit

Arlington, VA - Artificial intelligence company Anthropic and a group of authors who had alleged the company's use of their work in training its AI systems infringed their copyrights announced today that they had reached a preliminary settlement on a lawsuit brought forward by the authors.

In response to this news, Danielle Coffey, President and CEO of the News/Media Alliance, issued the following statement:
