The Bucharest Stock Exchange has rewarded the performers of the 2024 stock exchange year at the 12th edition of BVB Awards.
At the BVB Awards 2025, 20 prizes were granted to companies active on the stock market, intermediaries, investment and pension funds administrators, and journalists, for their achievements in the 2024 trading year.
This is the 12th edition of the BVB Awards when the Bucharest Stock Exchange is granting awards to the performers on the local stock market.
The winners of the BVB Awards 2025 are: Allianz-Tiriac Pensii Private, Antibiotice, Banca Transilvania, BT Asset Management, BRD - GROUPE SOCIETE GENERALE, BRK Financial Group, BT Capital Partners, Generali Pensii, IPROEB, Ministry of Finance, Premier Energy, ROMGAZ, Simtel Team, Swiss Capital, TradeVille, and journalists Tibi Oprea and Liviu Popescu from Ziarul Financiar, as well as Alexandru Negrici from DC News.
Today, on the 12th edition of the BVB Awards, the Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) has granted 20 awards to listed companies, brokerage companies, as well as to private pension and investment funds for their achievements in 2024. The event, which spotlighted the performers of the local capital market in 2024, is organized following their achievements recorded in the previous year.
One of the most remarkable figures of last year is certainly the historical maximum number of transactions: 2.6 million transactions, which is 32% more than in 2023. This attests to the growing interest of Romanians for the Romanian capital market and we are confident that, together, we will increasingly foster the development of the investment culture. In a nutshell, the year 2024 for the Bucharest Stock Exchange was: RON 363 billion as total capitalization of listed companies, + 17.6% compared to 2023; RON 242 billion as capitalization of Romanian companies listed, + 5% compared to 2023; 226,057 stock exchange investors, at the end of December; the FIDELIS financing rounds drew in a record amount of RON 16.4 billion. All these achievements were made possible by the efforts of all the stakeholders on the Romanian capital market. Thank you!
