Hrvatski Telekom has launched a national program of free education in artificial intelligence, titled "AI, You Can Do It." (AI ti to možeš) The program is designed for everyone, regardless of their level of knowledge or experience with AI tools, to improve AI literacy nationwide.

The program includes a series of short educational videos offering practical tips on how to use artificial intelligence, as well as interactive webinars tailored to each participant's experience, whether they are just beginning to explore AI or already familiar with its tools and possibilities.

To discover their personal AI profile and find the most suitable learning path, participants can take a fun quiz "What's Your AI Type?" and explore content tailored to their needs and preferred learning pace.

In twelve informative video episodes, popular educator Toni Milun demonstrates how to use AI tools in everyday life and work. The videos are already available on the "AI, You Can Do It" website.

"Artificial intelligence brings the greatest transformation of our time, changing the way we learn, work, and live. But progress doesn't happen on its own. It depends on how much we invest in knowledge and in people who can utilize these technologies to acquire new skills and enhance productivity. At Hrvatski Telekom, we believe technology connects people and must be inclusive, ensuring equal opportunities for everyone to participate in digital progress. That's precisely what we want to achieve with the 'AI, You Can Do It' program. AI should not be a privilege. It can and must be for everyone," said Nataša Rapaić, CEO of Hrvatski Telekom. She added that HT continues to invest heavily in gigabit optical and 5G infrastructure, spending over €180 million in the first half of this year alone, and more than €1.2 billion over the past five years, which accounts for nearly a quarter of its total revenues.

The total value of the "AI, You Can Do It" educational modules, including all webinars and training content, is €700 per person; yet, HT is providing them completely free of charge to all Croatian citizens, thereby removing both language and financial barriers that have long limited access to AI education.

"More than 20 years ago, we recognized the importance of the internet revolution. Today, we recognize the significance of the AI revolution, which will create equal opportunities for everyone. From access to knowledge and skills, to new ideas and innovations in business and personal life, and even how we care for ourselves, our communities, and society.. That's why we continue to invest in innovative solutions and the application of AI, which we've already integrated into many areas of our operations, while also helping business customers transform through the solutions we implement. Our goal is to make AI accessible to everyone, helping people understand, master, and use it safely in their daily lives, work, and learning. With our latest research, we not only identified the current state of AI adoption but also provided a concrete solution through the 'AI, You Can Do It' program. By investing in knowledge and digital skills, we're building a future where technology serves everyone and delivers tangible benefits across all levels of society. AI must be inclusive, and we feel a responsibility to make it so," said Siniša Đuranović, Management Board Member and Chief Corporate Affairs Officer at Hrvatski Telekom.

The launch of the program followed a national survey on public attitudes and habits regarding the use of AI tools. Conducted on a representative sample of respondents aged 16 to 65, the research provided insight into how Croatians use, perceive, and engage with artificial intelligence, as well as what motivates or prevents them from using it.

The results identified four main types of AI users among Croatian citizens, ranging from cautious observers to active adopters: Cautious Observers (33%), Resourceful Practitioners (28%), AI Adventurers (32%), and AI Enthusiasts (7%). A smaller, highly advanced group, AI Gurus, was also identified.

The research found that 45% of respondents hold a positive attitude toward AI, 40% are neutral, and 15% hold a negative attitude. The largest share of respondents (34%) use AI tools several times a month, one-fifth (21%) use them several times a week, while 18% do so less than once a month. Only 12% use them daily.

More than half (51%) expect AI to have a significant impact on their lives over the next five years, particularly in education, learning, and personal development (64%), which ranked highest among all categories.

Interestingly, 76% believe AI education should be introduced in elementary schools. Even among Cautious Observers, 63% support this idea, demonstrating broad recognition of the importance of early AI education.

The "AI, You Can Do It" program is part of HT's broader effort to promote the practical use of AI in everyday life. In cooperation with one of the world's most innovative AI companies, Perplexity AI, HT has already provided free access to Perplexity Pro for all Croatian citizens, now used by more than 2% of the population. The partnership has since expanded with the joint development of Magenta AI, an intelligent virtual assistant integrated into the Moj Telekom app. Additionally, 200 business clients are already participating in the Business START program, which focuses on enhancing productivity and efficiency through modern AI solutions.

Types of AI Users

Cautious Observers use AI tools less than once a month, if at all. They generally hold a neutral attitude, do not expect AI to have a significant impact on their lives, and some even perceive it as a potential threat.

Resourceful Practitioners use AI several times a month, primarily for simple queries and to handle everyday tasks more efficiently. They take a neutral yet cautious approach. They recognize its benefits but are still skeptical.

AI Adventurers are curious and enjoy exploring the possibilities of artificial intelligence. They use AI tools anywhere from several times a month to several times a week for learning, entertainment, and work. Their outlook on AI is generally positive, with some caution.

AI Enthusiasts are early adopters and advanced users. They use AI tools almost daily or several times a week, both professionally and personally. They are optimistic about AI, viewing it as a source of productivity and progress, while remaining mindful of its reliability.

AI Gurus are tech-savvy experts who not only use but also develop AI solutions. They actively share knowledge, shape the direction of AI development, and encourage others to adopt artificial intelligence in a responsible and creative manner.
