Statement from RI GOP Chairman Joe Powers: RI Democrat Delegation's Town Hall Was Nothing But Fear-Mongering, Lies, and Political Spin

WARWICK, RI - In response to the recent town hall held by members of Rhode Island's Democrat delegation blaming the Trump administration and Republicans for cost-of-living increases, RI GOP Chairman Joe Powers issued the following statement:

"Rhode Islanders aren't buying what the Democrats are selling anymore," said Chairman Powers. "The truth is, it's the policies of the Biden administration and their rubber-stamp delegation here in Rhode Island that lit the fire under inflation, crushed our energy independence, and pushed hardworking families to the brink."

"To stand in front of the public and blame Republicans and President Trump-after Americans voted in November to return to the Trump agenda-is not just tone-deaf, it's dishonest," said Chairman Powers. "Democrats can keep fear-mongering and lying to Rhode Islanders, but the truth is clear: President Trump is delivering on his promises, and they're terrified. Voters chose leadership that gets results-lower taxes, secure borders, energy independence, and America First. That's the Trump agenda, and that's exactly what we're fighting for in Rhode Island."

"Democrats can hold all the town halls they want, but the facts don't change: their dangerous open-border policies, destructive energy policies and reckless spending caused this crisis. Rhode Islanders know it-and they're ready for leadership that puts them first again."
