REMINDER: Drazan Ignores Her Own Votes Against Holding Data Centers Accountable As She Flip-Flops on Data Centers

Portland, OR - Despite Drazan's recent flip flop on data centers, here's your reminder she voted against legislation that would require data centers to pay their fair share.

As a state legislator, Drazan opposed the Oregon POWER Act, which shifted the burden of rising utility costs onto large users, such as data centers and cryptocurrency stores, while also providing relief for residential energy customers.

Additionally, during her 2022 campaign, Drazan was asked point blank if she would support restrictions on water allocations for large users, including data centers. Her response? "Additional restrictions on water rights are not the answer."

"When Democrats proposed that data centers should pay their fair share, Drazan voted no," said Democratic Party of Oregon Chair Nathan Soltz. "Now that she's running for governor, she expects voters to just forget her pro-data center record in the legislature. Unfortunately for her, that's just not going to happen."
