Lakewood Park Lake Level Update:
Lake levels at Lakewood Park began dropping earlier this month due to maintenance work on nearby dams managed by the Upper Brushy Creek Water Control and Improvement District (WCID). While the lake level dipped lower than expected, WCID confirms it remains within average pool elevation ranges.
The lake will not drop any further and is expected to naturally refill with rainfall and upstream creek inflow.
Please note: Kayak operations are temporarily suspended until lake levels return to normal.
For more information, contact the Upper Brushy Creek WCID.
Fish Restock Update:
The fish restock that took place on Friday, September 26, was previously scheduled and is unrelated to the recent drop in lake levels.
