Followed by Lane Restrictions on U.S. Route 136 in Clark County
HANNIBAL - Weather permitting, as early as September 22, Route P is scheduled to close for approximately one week for a bridge painting project, over BNSF Railway, 3.23 miles south of Missouri Route 11, near Kenwood in Knox County. Motorists will need to use alternate routes during the closure.
Once complete, crews will move to start bridge painting operations on U.S. Route 136 in Clark County, on the bridge over the BNSF Railway, 0.21 mile west of South Street, in Medill. At this time, U.S. 136 will be reduced to one lane with a 10-foot width restriction on the bridge with temporary signals utilized for traffic control. All work is weather dependent and schedules are subject to change. Signs and message boards will be in place to alert motorists, as schedule changes occur.
Included in this contract are two additional bridge painting projects completed earlier this summer:
Omega Coatings & Construction, LLC was awarded the contract earlier this year in the amount of $514,431. All work is scheduled for November 1, 2025.
All work is weather dependent and schedules are subject to change.
