The City of West Sacramento has released the Draft Environmental Impact Report (DEIR) for the Brar Farms Residential Development Project for a 47-day public review period from August 5 through September 21, 2026. The proposed project would subdivide an approximately 60-acre site at 3425 Marshall Road in the Southport area of West Sacramento into 259 single-family residential lots with 6.65 acres of open space, along with frontage improvements and a new roundabout at Marshall Road and Otis Avenue. The project requires a General Plan Amendment, Southport Framework Plan Amendment, Zoning Map/Code amendment, Tentative Subdivision Map, Design Review, and a Development Agreement.

The Draft EIR is available for review at City Hall, the Arthur F. Turner Community Library, and on the City's Major Planning Projects webpage linked here.
