Post raises MY2025/26 soybean production forecast to 50 million metric tons (MMT) on higher than expected yields reported, while maintaining planted area at 16.5 million hectares (MHA). As of writing, the crop was 98 percent harvested, in line with last year's pace. With additional supplies available, Post also raises MY2025/26 soybean crush to 43.5 MMT, up 500,000 metric tons. Post maintains whole soybean export forecasts at 5.5 MMT. Post also raises MY2025/26 sunflower production to a record 7 MMT, up 500,000 metric tons from the annual report, reflecting larger than previously reported planted area and record nationwide yields estimated at 2.3 MT/HA. MY2025/26 marks Argentina's highest sunflower area, production, and yield on record, surpassing the previous record set just one year earlier. By contrast, Post lowers MY2025/26 peanut production to 1.1 MMT as wet and cold conditions delay the harvest, combined with earlier drought stress during key crop development stages in Córdoba, reduced yields.
