Penn State Altoona hosts native tree planting in Seminar Forest April 27

ALTOONA, Pa. - Penn State Altoona will hold a native tree species planting on Monday, April 27, from 2:15 to 4 p.m. at the Seminar Forest.

American chestnut trees will be planted in the area as part of an effort to restore the tree to its native range in the eastern United States.

The planting will take place in partnership with the American Chestnut Foundation and the Penn State Arboretum. The event is open to students, faculty, staff, and the public.
