Greensboro Parks and Recreation Hosts Speed Friending July 18
The Greensboro Parks and Recreation Department will host a Speed Friending event from 5:30-7:30 pm on Friday, July 18, at LoFi Park, 500 N. Eugene St. This casual, informal event is designed to help participants meet new people, make new friends, and learn how to reduce the anxiety of talking with strangers.
There will be four, 30-minute sessions where participants will be paired up with another person and provided with general questions that can be used as icebreakers. Participants will meet about five people in one-on-one conversations during their selected 30-minute session. Everyone is encouraged to stick around following the event to mingle and partake in live music, food, and drinks at Joymongers next door.
Pre-registration is encouraged, but drop-ins are welcome, space permitting.
SCHEDULE
5:30 pm: ages 21-35
6:00 pm: ages 40-55+
6:30 pm: ages 30-45
7:00 pm: ages 21-35
