The 2025 King Tide season has begun. King Tides are driven by the variations in the strength and direction of the moon's gravitational pull, especially during new and full moon phases in the fall.
The National Oceanographic and Atmospheric Administration predicts high tides will peak along South Florida's coast during the following days (peaks vary by location). During these periods, high tides will approach the National Weather Service (NWS) "Minor Flooding" threshold.
