Jonah Rieber - September People Powers Award Winner

Congratulations to Fleet Mechanic III Jonah Rieber for earning the September People Powers award! Jonah was nominated by Fleet Mechanic IV Eric Volden for acting with a Safety First mindset.

In his justification, Eric shared how Jonah identified a potential major safety hazard of slips trips and falls. "Jonah noticed the new service truck bodies have a smooth aluminum finished floor. During weather events this floor will become extremely slippery creating a safety hazard when the bed of this truck is used as an elevated walking surface. Therefore, a fall from the bed of this truck could result in a major injury," said Eric. He noted that Jonah created a solution and that all new service bodies will have the truck beds lined with a non-slip spray.
