I-805/SR-163 Connectors Closed Evenings September 8 to 11

SAN DIEGO - Caltrans contractors will close the southbound Interstate 805 (I-805) connector to southbound State Route 163 (SR-163), the northbound SR-163 connector to northbound I-805, and the northbound I-805 to northbound SR-163 connector in the evenings from Monday, September 8, to Thursday, September 11. The connectors will be closed each night from 9:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. for the installation of broadband infrastructure.

Southbound I-805 to Southbound SR-163 motorists may continue south to the westbound I-8 connector and proceed onto Southbound SR-163.

Northbound I-805 to Northbound SR-163 motorists may continue on northbound I-805 and exit on Balboa Ave. Turn right, continue eastbound on Balboa Ave to northbound SR-163.

Northbound SR-163 to northbound I-805 motorists may continue on SR-163 to westbound SR-52 and continue to the northbound I-805 connector.

Motorists are reminded to be Work Zone Alert if traveling in the area and to watch for highway workers and moving construction equipment.

The work schedule is subject to change due to weather conditions, traffic incidents, or other work-related reasons.
