NYC DEPARTMENT OF CULTURAL AFFAIRS RELEASES NEW LIST OF MUSEUMS AND CULTURAL VENUES WITH FREE OR SUGGESTED ADMISSION FOR NEW YORKERS

The full list is available at NYC.gov/FreeCulture

NEW YORK - New York City Cultural Affairs Commissioner Laurie Cumbo has announced the publication of a list of cultural venues across the five boroughs that have free or suggested admission for New Yorkers, encouraging residents to engage with more of our city's extraordinary cultural assets. In New York, arts and cultural activity strengthens communities, inspires people of all ages and backgrounds, drives the economy, and makes New York City the cultural capital of the world. DCLA supports over 1,000 cultural nonprofits across the city each year, and many of these organizations offer free ways for residents to experience their programming.

"Cultural engagement makes our neighborhoods safer and stronger, and drives local economies - that's why we're encouraging New Yorkers to explore our city's remarkable cultural community as one way to thrive in 2025," said Cultural Affairs Commissioner Laurie Cumbo. "These free options at cultural venues across the city demonstrate our cultural communities' commitment to engaging city residents, and provides affordable ways for all New Yorkers and their families to experience our city's world-class cultural assets."

The full list is available on DCLA's website. Users should note that admissions policies are subject to change, and they should confirm all details directly with the organization before planning their visit.

This year, the city has invested a record-high $254 million in the city's cultural sector through DCLA, and an additional $213 million for capital projects at cultural organizations. This funding supports publicly-accessible programming and facilities at over 1,000 cultural nonprofits in all five boroughs.
