City Invites Public to Help Shape Future Jobs, Industry and Major Development Sites in the Mark Twain I-70 Industrial Neighborhood

The City of St. Louis is inviting residents and business community members to participate in an upcoming PlanSTL neighborhood planning meeting for the Mark Twain I-70 Industrial Neighborhood to share perspectives on the future of the area, which is home to some of the largest redevelopment opportunities in St. Louis and serves as a key gateway into the city from Interstate 70.

Through this planning effort, the City is working with residents, businesses, property owners and community partners to establish a shared vision for future growth and investment.

A major focus will be the future of the former St. Louis Army Ammunition Plant property, one of the largest redevelopment sites in St. Louis. Following the City's acquisition of the property, residents and other community members now have a unique opportunity to help shape how this strategic site can support jobs, industry, innovation, advanced manufacturing, logistics, recreation and other community-serving uses for decades to come.

The planning process will also explore improvements to the Goodfellow Boulevard and Natural Bridge Avenue intersection, a critical commercial and transportation hub that serves as an important gateway to surrounding neighborhoods and employment centers. Community input will help identify opportunities to strengthen economic development, improve safety and mobility, support businesses and housing and enhance the area's appearance.
