Chinese Ambassador-Designate to Sweden Zhou Limin Presents the Copy of the Letter of Credence

On March 16, 2026, Mr. Zhou Limin, the newly appointed Chinese Ambassador to Sweden, presented the copy of the Letter of Credence to Ms. Maria Lundqvist, Chief of Protocol of the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Sweden. 

Ambassador Zhou stated that he was deeply honored to be appointed by President Xi Jinping as the Chinese Ambassador to Sweden. He underscored that China and Sweden enjoy profound traditional friendship and a solid foundation for cooperation. The Chinese side stands ready to work with friends from all sectors of the Swedish society to follow the principles of mutual respect, equality and mutual benefit, enhance mutual understanding and trust, and deepen practical cooperation across areas such as trade and investment, technological innovation, green transition, and cultural exchanges, so as to promote the continuous development of bilateral relations and bring greater benefits to both countries and peoples.

Ms Lundqvist welcomed Ambassador Zhou to his new post, noting that Sweden attaches great importance to developing relations with China and looks forward to continuous progress in exchanges and cooperation. The Swedish side is willing to provide support and facilitation for Ambassador Zhou in the performance of his duties.
