Matthew A. Chiricosta Named Co-Leader of Insurance Coverage and Insurance Recovery Practices at Calfee, Halter & Griswold LLP

Calfee congratulates Partner Matt Chiricosta, who has been appointed Co-Leader of the Insurance Coverage and Insurance Recovery practice areas. Serving with James Sullivan, the group's leadership team has a combined 39 years of legal practice experience.

Matt Chiricosta's Practice and Experience

For his entire career, Matt has provided insurance coverage advisory and litigation services to insurance policyholders nationwide, ranging from litigating insurance coverage and bad-faith claims to advising on policy placement and insurance program design.

Matt is one of just 21 Ohio lawyers certified as an Insurance Coverage Law Specialist by the Ohio State Bar Association. And, since 2022, Matt has been recognized as a Leading Lawyer by Chambers USA in Insurance Law, most recently ranked in Band 2 in Ohio (2025).

Matt earned his J.D., summa cum laude, from Cleveland State University College of Law in 2012, where he served as the Cleveland State Law Review research editor. He earned his B.A. in Political Science, magna cum laude, from Allegheny College in 2009.
