Vince Walden '01 has been named assistant coach for the men's basketball program at Louisiana State University.

A social work major and four-year basketball letterwinner at Longwood, Walden's coaching career spans both the high school and collegiate levels. Most recently, he served as an assistant coach at Texas A&M University, where he helped lead the Aggies to the NCAA Tournament in each of his final three seasons.
