Philipp joined the European Commission in 1995 and worked for its Directorate General for Trade in various positions in the Brussels headquarters and in EU Delegations abroad.

His diplomatic posts include: Head of the Economic and Trade Sections of EU Delegations in Mexico (covering also Cuba), Thailand (covering also Cambodia, Laos and Myanmar) and the Philippines.

"I am delighted to start my posting in a year when Singapore celebrates 60 years of independence. EU-Singapore trade and investment relations are underpinned by the Free Trade Agreement. I look forward to contributing to the growth of these ties."

"As an avid city walker, I am looking forward to discovering Singapore from coast to coast. As a keen reader, I will be catching up with the rich and diverse world of SingLit," says Philipp.

Our new Head of Administration, Olivier was most recently at the European External Action Service Headquarters in Brussels and has extensive experience in Delegations, having worked on Administration & Finance matters in six other Delegations around the world.
