Initial Report: Train Derailment near Claude, TX (Red River Division-Red River Valley Subdivision)

On Saturday September 12,2026 at approximately 9:19 P.M. CDT, we received a preliminary report of a train derailment near Claude, TX which has affected the main track. Claude, TX is approximately 30 miles southeast of Amarillo, TX. BNSF field personnel responded to assess the derailment site. The estimated opening of the main track has not been determined at this time. If your loaded shipment(s) is directly involved in the incident, a member of the BNSF's Load and Ride Solutions team will contact your company's representative within 24 hours of the incident with relevant information and next steps. |
