Pavement Repairs to Begin on Devils Glen Road on Tuesday, October 14 October 13, 2025 - The City of Bettendorf's Full Depth Patching Program continues with work on Devils Glen Road. Beginning Tuesday, October 14, 2025, work begins on Devils Glen Road between Tanglefoot Lane and 53rd Avenue as crews repair the pavement in several areas. To ensure the safety of the traveling public and the construction workers onsite, traffic will be restricted to one lane in each direction for the duration of the project, which is expected to take four weeks, weather permitting. August 21, 2025 - The City of Bettendorf's Full Depth Patching Program continues with work on 53rd Avenue. Beginning Monday, August 25, 2025, traffic will be reduced to one lane from Bettendorf city limits to Barcelona Street. Motorist should expect delays, and should use caution when traveling through the construction zones. Work should last approximately three weeks. This project is part of the City's 2025 Full Depth Patching Program, which consists of full-depth concrete patching, utility structure repairs and adjustments, and other work associated with the replacement of approximately 6,400 square yards of existing pavement along various streets within the City. Work will begin at 7 p.m. and will be complete by 7 a.m. the next morning. The plan is as follows (depending on weather):August 13 and 14: Intersection of Middle Road at 18th Street Intersection of Middle Road at 23rd Street August 17: Palmer Hills Golf Course Entrance (one lane will be left open until the course closes at 9 p.m.) August 19 (rescheduled from August 18 due to possible overnight rain): Intersection of 53rd Ave and Falcon Ave Lane closures will be used in these areas to complete the work.
