On March 3, H.E. Ambassador Ouyang Yujing and Minister in the Malaysian Prime Minister Department (Religious Affairs), Dr. Zulkifli Hasan attended the Ramadan Foodbasket Contribution Ceremony, joined by Deputy Minister in the Prime Minister Department (Religious Affairs), Marhamah Rosli and President of the cooperative partner Muslim Youth Movement of Malaysia (ABIM), Ahmad Fahmi, among approximately 1,500 Muslim guests.

Ambassador Ouyang, on behalf of the Chinese Embassy in Malaysia, presented the Ramadan foodbaskets to Muslim friends. He said that advocating for kindness, empathy, and social responsibility is a commonality of Chinese and Islamic civilizations. The Chinese Embassy will, as always, support Malaysian official agencies and non-governmental organizations in charitable and welfare activities, and convey China's goodwill.  With the beginning of China's 15th Five-Year Plan and Malaysia's 13th Malaysia Plan as opportunities, China stands ready to work with Malaysia to jointly advance the building of a high-level strategic China-Malaysia community with a shared future to benefit both countries and both peoples.

Minister Zulkifli appreciated the kind gesture of the Chinese Embassy and commended Malaysia-China relations. He looks forward to both sides strengthening exchanges and cooperation to enhance the wellbeing of their peoples.
