Construction Of New Arts District Parking Garage To Begin In August

Motorists who have been parking in the surface parking lot at 201 E. Utah Ave. need a new place to park starting tomorrow, June 18. The city of Las Vegas will prepare for construction of the new Arts District Parking Garage by clearing the lot starting tomorrow; fencing the lot will begin June 23, 2025. See map for alternate off-street parking locations south of Charleston Boulevard that are operated by the city of Las Vegas. In July, the Whiting-Turner Contracting Company will begin demolition of the site before commencing construction in August of the new five-story parking garage in downtown Las Vegas at East Utah Avenue/Casino Center Boulevard. Completion is expected in August 2026. The main garage entrance will be on Casino Center with a second entrance at East Imperial Avenue. The finished garage will have a total of 502 parking stalls, including 50 stalls for electric vehicle charging. The construction budget is $25 million, with funds provided by the city of Las Vegas and the Redevelopment Agency.
