Crossley Publishes Book, Hosts National Conference

Assistant Professor Tatjana Crossley has had a productive year of scholarship at the intersection of artificial intelligence and architecture.

In March 2026, Routledge published her book Virtual Reality: Architecture, Culture, and the Body. She has since lectured on the work at Wentworth, Worcester Polytechnic Institute, and Boston Architectural College, and Boston's Pinkcomma Gallery hosted a book launch alongside an exhibition of her drawings.

Earlier in the academic year, Crossley co-hosted the Association of Collegiate Schools of Architecture (ACSA) Intersections Research Conference at the Wentworth School of Architecture and Design. Titled AI Design Practices, the conference drew more than 170 educators, academics, and students.

Her practice-based research has gained international attention as well. At the AMPS Heritage Conference, Crossley presented a paper on an augmented reality installation she completed for Italy's Museo Diffuso through her architecture practice, ArchiTAG. The paper, "MUDI Reality+: An Interactive AR Museum Experience," was published in the AMPS Conference Proceedings in March 2026.

Crossley also recently published a book chapter on architectures of power, with another chapter, "AI and Spatial Meaning," currently in progress.
