On January 14, Amb. Jiang Feng, Head of the Mission of China to the African Union, met with H.E. Atif Sharif Mian, Ambassador of Pakistan to Ethiopia and Head of the Mission to the African Union. Defense Advisor Guo Baojian was present.

Amb. Jiang stated that China and Pakistan, as good neighbors and good brothers,nurtured an ironclad friendship  through historical twists and turns which has grown ever stronger over time. The two countries have always firmly supported each other on issues concerning their core interests. Faced with a complex and volatile international situation, both sides should further deepen communication and coordination on multilateral platforms such as the African Union, and jointly uphold multilateralism and justice. 

Amb. Mian highly commended that Pakistan-China relations have always maintained a high level , calling them a model of state-to-state relations. He appreciated China's contribution of providing valuable stability to a turbulent world and expressed his willingness to maintain close communication with the Chinese Mission, strengthen cooperation on platforms such as the African Union, and jointly safeguard the common interests of the Global South.
