Optimum Deepens Community Impact with Expanded Support for Food Banks

Partnering with local organizations across its footprint, the company continues to assist with vital hunger relief efforts to help thousands of families in need

This season of giving, Optimum, the leading provider of fiber internet, mobile, and TV services, announces its support of local food banks and hunger relief organizations across the company's service areas. As a company committed to making a positive impact in the communities it serves, Optimum is proud to continue to find ways to deepen its local presence while helping thousands of Americans this season from families to grandparents and veterans who may be facing food insecurity.

Optimum's support of local organizations include:

  • Arizona: Optimum is providing support to the Kingman Area Food Bank and the Flagstaff Family Food Center by placing donation boxes at its retail stores in Kingman and Flagstaff for community members to contribute items.
  • Louisiana: As a proud supporter of Feeding Louisiana, Optimum is collecting non-perishable food items and monetary donations at all Optimum retail locations in the state.

  • New Jersey: Optimum is teaming up with the Interfaith Food Pantry Network (IFPN) to set up donation boxes at select retail locations to collect food for communities in Morris County. Collections can be found at Optimum's East Hanover, Edison, Morris Township, and Piscataway retail stores.
  • New York:
    • As a long-time supporter of Long Island's leading hunger-relief organization, Island Harvest, Optimum is matching donations made by its employees and business customers - up to $10,000 - through a virtual donation campaign. The campaign empowers Optimum employees and Optimum business customers to make a meaningful difference, with each contribution helping to provide one Thanksgiving meal for families on Long Island facing food insecurity.
    • To continue supporting Brooklyn Borough President Antonio Reynoso's annual Thanksgiving food distribution event, Optimum is providing a $5,00 donation. The funds will supply fresh produce, non-perishable goods, and other essential food items to local community organizations addressing food insecurity.
  • Texas: Optimum is partnering with the East Texas Food Bank to provide onsite connectivity experts at the Food Bank's Resource Center in Tyler. These experts are helping bridge the connectivity gap by sharing resources and tips for accessing high-speed, low-cost internet. In San Angelo, Optimum is partnering with the Concho Valley Regional Food Bank to collect donations at its retail store.
  • West Virginia: Through Optimum's continued support of the Mountaineer Food Bank, the company is collecting donations at Optimum retail stores throughout its Southern West Virginia service footprint.

"The season of giving is a time to come together and support one another," said Sean O'Connell, Senior Vice President, Regional General Manager at Optimum. "At Optimum, we believe that every contribution counts and by collaborating with trusted local organizations across our footprint, we aim to make a meaningful difference in the fight against hunger wherever we serve. We invite our customers, employees, and community members to join us in supporting these vital hunger relief efforts this season."

Optimum continues to find new ways to deepen its community presence and connect its customers to what matters most, which includes supporting, understanding, and celebrating what makes each of its local communities unique. The company's hunger relief effortsare a concrete example of this very commitment to customers and businesses across its footprint.
