Chinese Consul General in Perth Fu Lihua Meets with Mayor Wilson of Kalgoorlie Boulder

On November 28, 2025, Chinese Consul General in Perth Fu Lihua, accompanied by Consul Yang Xiuqing, visited the City of Kalgoorlie Boulder, Western Australia, and met with Mayor Glenn Wilson to exchange views on promoting exchanges and cooperation between Kalgoorlie Boulder and China.

Consul General Fu thanked Mayor Wilson for his support to local Chinese-funded enterprises and pointed out that the economies of Western Australia and China are highly complementary and the practical cooperation is close. Kalgoorlie Boulder is a historic mining city, and Chinese-funded enterprises have made important contributions to local economic and social development. As China enters the "15th Five-Year Plan" period, the practical cooperation between Kalgoorlie Boulder and China faces more opportunities. The Chinese Consulate General in Perth is ready to provide support and facilitation for Kalgoorlie Boulder in expanding exchanges and cooperation with China.

Mayor Wilson welcomed Consul General Fu for the visit and briefed her on  Kalgoorlie Boulder, acknowledged the important contributions of Chinese-funded enterprises to the local area, appreciated the achievement of China's development and expressed willingness to actively develop exchanges and cooperation with China.
